Design:Yorkshire, our design review service, is an independent and impartial peer review service that aims to lift the design quality of developments throughout the region. It draws upon multi-disciplinary expertise and knowledge of panel members to facilitate and achieve the highest standards in design and placemaking. The panel is made up of 30 well-respected built environment professionals with experience in architecture, town planning, urban design, landscape architecture, sustainable and low energy design, engineering and conservation.

Design Review is an extremely helpful technical resource which offers applicants and design teams clear, constructive comments and guidance on schemes, encouraging their improvement and progression early in the design process where changes can improve design quality and enhance viability. The panel sees schemes at all scales, from inception through to planning stage, and the service can be used by local authorities to assess the design quality of schemes submitted for planning approval.
